Open Mail and Newsgroups using one of the following steps:

• If Netscape is not open, click Start -> Programs -> Netscape 7 -> Mail & Newsgroups
• If Netscape is open, click Window -> Mail and Newsgroups.

Account Settings

• To create a new account click Add Account and follow wizard.

New Account Setup

• Select Email Account.
• Click Next.

Identity

• Your Name: Enter name to appear in the From field of outgoing mail. This is not your email address - usually it's your Full Name.
• Email Address: Type in your Desoto.Net email address.
• Click Next.

Server Information

• Select the type of incoming server you are using: Leave selection on POP.
• Incoming Server: mail.desoto.net
• Outgoing Server: mail.desoto.net (unless on our National Dialup plan - then use smtp.safepages.com)
• Click Next.

Username

• Type in the first part of your desoto.net email address, but leave off the @desoto.net.
• Click Next

Account Name

• This is just a title. You can leave as it is or change to whatever you would like. We recommend using your email address for identification purposes.
• Click Next.

Congratulations

• Confirm settings and click Finish.
